The story behind the film
HAL is Hunter Bushwell’s directorial debut after graduating with his Masters from The New School this December. Prior to returning to graduate school, Hunter spent 2 years working in Talent Representation before shifting into Production. He has spent time working as a producer on other short films, but this is the first project he served as writer/director.
