I wanted to make a film about how complex the human brain is, but the educational aspect alone wasn’t enough, a story was needed. Coming up with the characters for the two sisters wasn’t at all difficult but it was a challenge to make them evolve through the story because I didn’t want it to be a typical character development, instead I decided the story would be about revealing how childhood trauma affected the two little by little, I wanted the viewer to find out more and more about them as they watch and in the end to just say “Oh so that’s why this and that were happening”. For the viewer, I wanted it to be like putting together a puzzle that you have no clue what it’ll end up looking like.
