Winter's Clipped Wing

An unconventional film taking place in the memories of two friends on two different planes of existence, as they yearn for moments they once shared together. Born out of loneliness and featuring poetry, phone calls, and pop-shuvits, ‘Winter’s Clipped Wing’ is an ode to the act of reaching out to the people we love.

Stitched together with found Mini DV footage and voice recordings taken across a year, the film came from a period where both creators found themselves needing genuine connection with their communities of friends and family. As much as the film follows two fictional characters, it’s a real life tribute to the small acts of kindness shown to us, and the difference that a simple conversation can make in hard times.
