The story behind the film

We shot during London Covid restrictions when you were only allowed to meet in groups with a maximum of 6 people, so we made this with a real skeleton crew. I (the director) acted, produced, art directed, 1st AD’d, and catered the 2 night shoot, and was particularly proud of finishing exactly on the projected wrap time on Day 2 after a night of about 40 set ups. The whole project was designed as a means to get back into shooting after having spent so long feeling like we couldn’t and it was great to jump back in. The time it took for editing and post production was, as always seems to be the case, overlong but the film is finally finished. A locked ungraded/unmixed cut was nominated for Best English Film at The British Short Film Awards.
