OUTLAWS

‘OUTLAWS’ captures the touching and emotionally charged moment of a couple on the run, a modern day Bonnie and Clyde, as a foiled get away leaves them stranded in the middle of nowhere. They are torn between making a break for it with the getaway money or leaving everything behind and choosing each other….

This experimental short fuses an ice-berg narrative with contemporary dance, as a relationship is stretched to its limits. One character desperately attempts to pull her partner away from danger as he pushes back with a furious sense of obsession; she must overpower his stubborn nature in order to save them both. It is a film of juxtaposing styles; the neon-lit car nestled in the sprawling rural landscape, the tender spoken word poem overlaying the industrial soundtrack. These clashing elements ultimately heighten the conflict at the heart of the film and make for a turbulent watch.
