The story behind the film

As I set out to capture Lew Blink’s story, I realized that a conventional approach would not suffice. I needed to create a narrative that would transport us into his odd, quirky, and silly world. Lew’s unique perspective on dumpster diving and ability to connect the dots made him a fascinating character. Through him, we explore themes of privacy, waste, and the stories we leave behind. “Dumpster Archaeology” is an exploration of the human experience and a celebration of curiosity. It encourages us to open the lid, take a peek within ourselves, and reflect on what we leave behind.
